New Balance 997 Black

Great model! Beautiful shoe!!! A little stiff, but not too uncomfortable for all day wear. I'm a middle school teacher and I move around a lot, these hold up and keep me feeling good all day. Not as comfortable at 992 or 993 or 990 v6, but still an awesome model.

Defective Shoes – Rubber Toe Bumper Coming Off

The sneakers arrived with the rubber toe bumper already coming off on one of them. I’m very disappointed with this purchase. Either the shoes are not inspected before shipping, or they knowingly send out defective products. Very poor quality control. I do not recommend buying from this seller.

Sneaks made in America

Excellent shoes/sneaks, great craftsmanship, made to last. I have been buying the New Balance American made line for a very long time. Never had a problem with a single pair.

Would be Great Shoes Except For One Major Issue

I was so excited when these came in. They were the first shoes I've ever owned to actually be made in the U.S. I now unfortunately regret it. After the first couple hours they started squeaking obnoxiously loud because some shoe companies still insist on using leather for the inside lining even though in many cases it causes this issue. I took the insoles out which only mildly helped dull the noise. I'm going to try to buy leather conditioner to see if that helps but nobody should have to take these steps when spending upwards of $150 on a shoe. Visually they look great but I'm really disappointed with the never ending loud squeaks with each footstep. Just be cautious when buying these. They're pretty comfortable and look great but this issue is really bad. Hopefully my pair is just an outlier but I doubt it.
