I use Bob's Red cornmeal in all my recipes that call cornmeal because I find that the quality, taste and ingredients as far as I'm concerned are the good, it's important to always put the best quality into your body if you want to get the benefits. The size and packaging are ok.
Rather than buying the complete cornbread mix this time, I went from scratch. Followed the recipe right on the label, and it turned out perfect. The medium grind was a bit grainy for my wife at first (I didn't mind the texture), but after it sat awhile it mellowed out and was softer and flavorful. I'll always go this route moving forward.
I decided to try this cornmeal because I couldn't find my usual brand for cornbread - this worked great! The grind is medium but its very uniform, tastes great, and is excellent quality (no stone/hulls/etc.) so I can use it without having to sift through the bag before baking.
