Presto® 2 to 6-Cup Stainless Steel Percolator

Filters very difficult to use . Tearing before coffee is put in the basket. Cover difficult to secure down and nearly impossible for these 86 year hands to remove, Perhaps a Grandchild would enjoy this pot otherwise it will sit on the shelf.

I’m reviewing the 6 cup pot. Love the pot except that it takes 11 minutes to make a 6 cup pot. The documentation says “about a cup a minute.” I returned the first one thinking it was a defect and the second one was just as slow. Maybe a bad batch of thermocouples made it past the inspectors? Lot dates on the pots are 1626 1x2 and 1626 2x2. It does make great coffee.

I’ve been trying different coffee machines and am finally happy aith my new presto 6 cup percolator. I’ve tried pour over , stove top percolator, auto drip, and the presto brews a great cup of coffee quickly and hot perfect strength. Month muddy or grainy or weak. Thank you presto.

I've had this product for years and have been very happy with it. I really appreciate the stainless steel construction and the simple, durable design. The small aluminum heating element at the bottom is understandable and, in my view, not a concern at all. Presto makes a strong, durable, and good-looking product here. It’s easy to clean, makes great coffee, and gives me more peace of mind than many more complicated coffee makers with plastic reservoirs, tubing, and other hard-to-clean internal parts. I also like not having to worry as much about issues such as mold buildup, BPA-containing plastics, or unnecessary material exposure from the brewing components. Overall, it’s a simple, reliable coffee maker that does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and I would gladly buy it again. I replaced mine after 18 years and only because I accidentally broke it.

I have purchased many presto Ss. electric coffee maker over the last 30 years, the last three were bad , the thermostat went bad in about a month 😳 I can't recommend this brand 😢 a waste of money, when it worked it made great coffee. It has a very weak thermostat

Yesterday the pot just stopped percolating. I threw the box away so can’t return. Terrible purchase.

Produces hot rich, smooth coffee, like my parents used to drink, delicious. Hot coffee, says hot as long as you keep it plugged into the electric. Much richer smoother coffee than my french press coffee. Best tasting coffee I have ever made. I got the 6 cup, I would recommend the 12 cup size if you have a thermos to keep it warm, 6 cup really is 3 normal mugs sizes of coffee, get larger size , the 12 cup which will act like 6 mug size coffee cups.

Unless you are drinking a 3-4oz tea cups of coffee, this will only make Two 8 ounce cups. It will, however make those 2 cups very well, up to you if 2 cups of coffee is enough and worth the price.

Quit working after 3 years. Cleaned it checked power. Won't perc.

It is not as corrosion resistant as I would like. Coffee corrodes the big nut at the bottom that hold it together. It is not great looking if you actually look into the pot and see the crud around the bottom. Must be that manganese steel and not the good 304 stainless.
