Forerunner 970 Fitness Smartwatch

Pack with features that I can clearly see, I am loving my 970!

I tried this watch out and really liked the display and the features. Only suggestion I would make is to add LTE to a model as some of us prefer to run without our phones. Garmin, in my opinion, makes the very best wearable watches for runners or those with active lifestyles

Love the bright screen, and the light/lamp feature. I’m still exploring new fetuses but so far I love the watch.

Got it a month ago and absolutely love it! Highly recommend the 970

I really wanted to like the Garmin Forerunner 970, but my experience with it has been extremely disappointing. Within the first few days of owning it, the display repeatedly went black or became extremely dim even though the watch itself was still operating—the buttons worked, heart-rate monitoring continued, and the device appeared to be running normally in the background. For a premium watch at this price point, having the display fail multiple times within the first 72 hours is unacceptable. What makes this more frustrating is that this does not appear to be an isolated issue. Similar display problems have been reported by other Forerunner 970 owners, suggesting this may be a persistent problem that Garmin is already aware of but has yet to fully resolve. Garmin support is replacing my watch, which I appreciate, but simply replacing individual units does not inspire much confidence if the underlying problem remains. I bought the 970 specifically as a reliable training watch for long-course triathlon preparation, and reliability is the most basic requirement. A flagship device this expensive should not be experiencing repeated display failures almost immediately out of the box.

The music is annoying. You only have 3 main stream apps. Please add soundcloud!!! For the rest it is pretty good. I like it, it does the job accurate.

Such an amazing product! I upgraded from the Epix Gen 2 and the difference is night and day. The battery life is incredible, the flashlight comes in handy all of the time, and it takes phone calls now! Not to mention the GPS is still amazing as per usual.

I am very happy with the trade I made for my forerunner 955 to 970. I like how the colors for the 970 are more vibrant, the symbols are a little more distinguishable, the addition of many apps like the ECG, notes, messenger, and call. I have two small kids and in the middle of the night, the light on my watch was just not bright enough and turning my wrist while holding a baby is pretty touch by I feel as though the location and addition of an actual flashlight was so clutch.

I absolutely love this watch! I feel like a new runner all over again. I was using the FENIX 7 for a few years, and I loved it, but this watch absolutely blows it away. I look forward to the next run every day.
