Sea vegetables are super powerful "greens" of the sea! As a Holistic Nutritionist, I have been personally taking them for years. I keep my celtic salt intake low and rely on sea vegetables like this kelp/celery/spinach to get natural sodium in. KELP is a natural source of iodine, it is rich in Vitamin K for strong bones, and is a natural anti inflammatory. I sprinkle these granules on my salads. I like shaking this on my sandwich, a casserole, etc like I do a slight shake of salt, and a better shake of black pepper. I like the idea of getting some iodine in my diet. We use to have iodine in a bottle for minor cuts, I especially liked having the liquid iodine when I was a horse owner as taking care of your horse properly can get a person pretty dirty like picking out their feet, etc. Uncle Sam somewhere along the line decided we are better off with these little germ cutting creams (ugh!) By using a little of this Kelp on my food I'm still getting my iodine.

My first time trying kelp flakes, I’ve tried dulse flakes and I think I prefer them. However, I’ll learn to implement these into my diet through trial and error, I’m sure I can make it work! It can take some getting used to. If you’re a sea food person it’ll probably be easy to add this to your diet, as a vegan it’s a bit of a palette shocker haha.

Love this kelp! It’s such an easy way to add minerals to everyday meals. The taste is mild, slightly salty and ocean-like, but not overpowering. I sprinkle it over salads, eggs, and soups instead of salt. Feels very nourishing and clean. A little goes a long way!

The package is not the best. The lid feels a bit cheap and is messy. The taste is great if you like algae and fish. It has a strong sea smell. The granules are good quality and the size is right.

A natural way to add extra health benefits like iodine into diet with easy clean ingredients and easy to use! Highly recommended and tastes great!

4 stars because the product with cayenne pepper is much more to my liking. I seem to always go for that product instead of this one. But I am really happy to get my iodine from either.

This is my second time repurchasing it, ot taste seafood flavor. The quality is very good and it provides my body with needed iodine doze

Maine Coast makes a variety of high quality seaweed products. I chose the kelp granules because I have hypothyroidism and am hoping it will increase my iodine levels and possibly allow me to get off medication. I sprinkle it on beans, rice, vegetables, you name it. It doesn’t have a fishy taste at all. I wish the size was a little larger but, overall, I am pleased with this product.
