I'm returning the Chocolat color- I have Callison and Betise and love them! However, the Chocolat color doesn't really have much of anything and I don't find it flattering at all, like the other colors. It's missing something.

No color. I have two tone lips and this has no pigment at all. You have to have super pink lips and pale to fair skin to possibly see some color. Skip!
I now own 5 of these Bisou Balms. Not only are the colours stunning and just sheer enough to flatter your natural colouring, they also wear really well. I tend to moisturize my lips beforehand or apply something gently hydrating on top as I have dry skin. However, these do not fade fast and are easy to touch up. I reach for mine a lot and I've been loving the new Chocolat shade so much more than expected. I've already made quite the dent in it! I just can't get enough of the texture and these colours. They're truly effortless and I am obsessed. I'm already eyeing more shades...
Loved the formula already (had Betise first). It’s the first of its kind. It glides on and is matte but not drying like many matte lip products. This new shade Chocolat is perfect! For reference, my skin is medium to medium tan, neutral warm golden/olive. My lips are a mauvey pink brown. Most nudes look pale on me or completely wash me out. This is perfect- it doesn’t wash me out or brown out my lips, just gives them a little definition so they look natural but not bare, if that makes sense.
This is the perfect little balm. It is the perfect color for my lips and goes on so easily, and you can build it up to be a little darker. I have never met a product like this before, stunning
Chocolat is gorgeous! The perfect shade for brown Queens. It’s natural but glamourous at the same time. The matte finish is buildable so you never look over- done. Well done Violette!
I have boxes of lipsticks all brands colors, but I have never loved any like this. The color the way it wears it feels so light but has so much pigment. Get these asap.
This shade is beautiful on brown skin tones. If you are south asian then try out this shade, theres a good chance it will be a my lips but better color on you. I find I dont require a lip liner with it but you could use one depending on your preference. it's the perfect brown nude with a hint of pink. doubles as a blush so works very well. i rarely find lip colors that a perfect nude wash of color and this one is it. plus i love that it's a blurring formula so it helps to easily over extend the lip line.
i now have both “mon amor” and “chocolat” and love them both for a very specific use. this is not the kind of lip i would pop on without a little bit of something moisturizing already on my lips, so for me it’s great thrown into a bag with a clear balm for touch ups. what i typically do is apply a violette stain gloss before heading out the door to establish some lasting color and a clean-ish lip line, then use one of these blurring lips throughout the day for added color and blur. this has been one of the most moisturizing blur style lipsticks i’ve tried, so long as my lips are in decent condition. “chocolat” is decidedly cool-toned and enhances the berry stain, though it is more sheer than “mon amor” so i don’t think the swatches are very accurate. it ends up working in my favor as a very pale person with neutral-cool undertones. i would imagine a lot of people expecting fuller color payoff from “chocolat” ending up disappointed. the other shades in the line-up are much less sheer. so, five stars for me and my specific use case, but ymmv!
Honestly best lip product Ive had so far. It just looks so good and feels good too. Its worth the money. Right now its the only lip product im using everyday.
