I can only speak for the shimmer shade that I purchased, but it was a horrible product. It dried out so quickly, I ended up throwing it away. It was extremely patchy as well,
I was so excited to buy this. The first time I used it, beautiful. Genuinely a week later it's dry on top and goes on a streaky patchy mess. And it was closed tightly. I wouldn't recommend this at all, what a rip off!
I bought this because it was recommended as a creamy eyeshadow. It’s dry and hard to apply. Do not like it.
This started out great- was moist and blended almost too easily while retaining pigmentation which with some powder set beautifully and stayed on all day. Now I don’t understand why the texture became so dry and chunky, it’s not airtight or something, but now it’s blotchy and difficult to place. Fixing it is hard need makeup remover. Overall wish I could return it, but too late.
I'm frustrated with this eyeshadow. The "Social - soft mauve" color is unlike anything out there - the perfect taupe-ish purple for hazel eyes and fair cool toned skin. I had high hopes for the cream formula, but it dried out very quickly and is finicky to apply. Applying with your fingers DOES NOT work: it leads to splotchy, uneven color and even chunky flakes. I've successfully used it with primer, translucent setting powder, and applying with a flat brush. Merit usually has great cream products, but this one needs more tweaking so it's worth the price point.
Two stars only. The color is great! Other than that product sucks!! I bought it this year in April. The product is dry couldn’t blend it on my eye. Merit really needs to listen to its customers and fix this problem. I will give it another try but if it fails it’s going in the trash! Sephora should offer us credit.
Purchased 2 of these.Within a month of closing twist on caps properly they both dried out and were tossed unfortunately. So disappointing!😔
After 2 months the creamy shadow hardened to a paste. I've kept the lid on tightly but still hard. Not easy to apply anymore with Sephora brush.
Social - soft mauve makes my green eyes pop. Buildable and easy to apply. Definitely worth it!
Used once or twice and product completely dried out. It also cracked and doesn’t apply if used with a brush. Any advice on how to use this- am I doing something wrong ?
