I was a diehard Thrive liquid lash extensions girl until I tried this. I’ve tried all of the alleged dupes for their formula trying to find something a little cheaper, and that I can pick up at a physical store in a pinch. My biggest complaint with the drugstore dupes is that those formulas are so wet that it takes forever to dry, and I always wound up looking like a raccoon due to doing something wild and crazy like blinking or sneezing, and/or needing to do immediate touchups. I grabbed this on a whim because I was in a pinch and needed a new mascara ASAP. I am in LOOOOOOOVE with this formula. It’s the perfect balance of enough moisture to not feel like the tube has been left open for days, but dry enough to not feel like blinking immediately after applying is gonna leave you with dark circles under your eyes. It goes on so smooth (no clumps!), the brush does a great job at separating and lengthening. It doesn’t flake (even with my ridiculously oily eyelids), dries quickly, and lasts all day. Comes off beautifully with only water. It’s not waterproof, but it’s pretty water resistant, and my eyes tearing up or applying eyedrops doesn’t cause it to run. But the thing that really tips it over Thrive is the brown color. Thrive’s brown is more like a black/brown and I honestly don’t notice much of a difference between that and the black. Caliray’s brown is great for everyday wear. I’m a fair-skinned redhead and it’s perfect for a no or light makeup look for work.

I have repurchased about 3+ times, this mascara has no fallout, leaves my lashes feeling lifted for an entire day of at least 8 hours of wear time. Absolutely ZERO smudging! Very easy to completely wash off and makes my evening routine super easy! Love x1000! Only mascara I will wear
Obsessed! I love this mascara. I have oil eyelids and even the top rated waterproof mascara will smudge but this doesn’t. So glad i decided to try it.
If you do more than one layer it will be clumpy!! I tried to separate my lashes but it was clumped together and there were clumps on my lashes. I liked this product because it was easy to take and did not pull out any of my lashes yet.
I received this in a kit and was really excited to try it, day one I didn’t go outside in the hot summer and it stayed put and had some lift and curl. Day two I went outside for about 20 minutes and it smeared all over my eyelids and flaked under my eyes.
I can’t praise this mascara enough!!! I’m 70 years old & finding mascara was so difficult. This mascara stays on, ZERO smudging & so easily removed too!
Best mascara I’ve tried!!! I just wish they had it in brown too
While it does not give me the fullness, length or volume of other mascaras, I love it and will order it again. I love that it does not flake or smear. I have dry eye and other brands start running when my eyes tear. This does not and it comes off easily at night with face soap and water.
I was really hoping I would love this since so many on reddit recommended it. But it does flake on me quite a bit and then it gets in my eyes which is not ideal. The plus is that it does lengthen and looks nice before it flakes!
I am a mascara knob. I am always looking for a mascara that doesn’t flakes smudge or give me raccoon eyes. This works really well. I love that if I wash it off with really warm water it just kind of peels off and doesn’t get all over my face.
