Though these were wide, the width was too narrow. Also, the toe box was more long and pointed than rounded, adding to the width issue. The color was supposed to be "parchment", yet was actually bright lemon yellow. Overall all, the shoes were not at all what I expected and had to be returned.
It's hard to believe these are considered to be wide. The width matches up exactly with a pair of medium width Adidas court shoes and is quite a bit narrower than my New Balance running shoes. Aside from the width, the shoes hurt the top of my foot. Also, "parchment" should be beige, not lemon yellow. This purchase was disappointing and the shoes are going to be returned/
I am a true size 9 with narrow feet - so I ordered a size 9, but it was too short. Also, even though the shoe was on the tight side, it looked bulky and wide. Lastly, the color is much darker in person than the photos.
Footpad supportI bought this shoe because my previous shoes did not provide enough support on the footpad. This shoe provides excellent support.
Not comfortable: Not comfortable. Love my 574's but these tennis shoes fit nothing like them.
A real disappointment in terms of width and color. Although I ordered a wide which is what I always get in New Balance shoes, these did not fit like a wide shoe and were very uncomfortable overall. Also, the color was a too bright lemon yellow. They were returned.
Very stiff shoe that runs small. Toe box is very narrow and tight. Returned.
I've liked some other NB 9W models before, but this one, the heel does not grip well. Heel drop is about 4-5mm, so that bit is alright. (I like zero or very little heel drop.)
I ordered 2 sizes. Normally an 8.5W in ASICS tennis shoes/8W regular shoes, and wasn’t sure what I’d need for New Balances. While the 8W fit, I was a little worried about not having enough room in the toe box during play. The 8.5Ws felt better.
Cool shoes: The shoe is very comfortable. Easy to break in and start on a run. The tong of the shoe seems a little long as it hits high on my arch. The wide fit was perfect; however, a little tight after playing for 2 hours.
