Usually wear 9. These were roomy, so tried 8.5 and found my toes touched the top. So I wear thick wool socks and the fit is great. Super comfortable without breaking in. I chose the suede over the leather as I found the ankle area softer. I think the leather in the ankle area would have broken in just fine though. I thought the black suede looked sleeker. Also I had no trouble putting them on or taking them off. Maybe because I ski and am used to maneuvering in and out of stiff boots. In addition because the toe is roomy I can wear them for long days with no discomfort.

it's a little tight around the neck but otherwise fits great. I hope they loosen up as I wear them
