Bought these Kenmoor in black in 2026. They are better quality than the Kenmoor bugundy I bought in 2013. The piping around the top edge is a softer leather that may last longer. The soles have better wood grain painting. One imperfection where sock liner meets lining inside one shoe. These are same as I remember from my first hand-me-down pair about 1960 except no v-cleat suicide heel. The rubber on the heel lift is hard for durability, not slip resistance. These are comfortable for standing, not flexible for walking. I had a local cobbler add 1.8 mm Vibram rubber sole savers to make slip resistant. Very shinny, almost like patent leather. Some men will not like this style stiff and shinny.

I love Florsheim and have been wearing them for over 40 years. I know exactly what I am going to get when it arrives because they haven't changed a thing with their quality and craftsmanship. When I was young Cub Scout, I wrote a letter to the Gov. of California, Ronald Regan. This letter prompted him inviting me to the Capital to meet him. I was in awe of everything, the crystal dish with Jelly Belly's, the size of everything. The one thing that stuck in my head the most was his Florsheim shoes! I saved up my money and bought my first pair of wingtips when I was 13 years old. Every time I get a new pair I think of that Day.
