Straight out of the box, they're very uncomfortable. I haven't worn them to work yet; but to be honest, I'm a little scared to with how stiff they are. One of my first jobs was a retail job where I sold Carhartt and I've never been impressed with their boots/ shoes line... Their clothes are great though! With that being said, I do know you're supposed to "break in" work boots/ shoes. I don't know! Maybe it's just not the right boot for me.
The fit on my foot was great but they were hard to get on and the top pushed into my ankle. I wouldn't be able to wear them 12 hours a day.

Excellent boots. Perfect for restaurants. Tread is super easy to spray out. Still wears like a boot, so I may still add some softer insoles.

Not a bad looking shoe fits ok. One flaw, the top of the shoe needs padding. The top back where the pull loop is. That part cuts into the back of your leg.
