This was the fourth Apex Bionic 3 jacket that I purchased. This new model has extra material in the shoulders that make the shoulders look "boxey" like the jacket has shoulder pads. As a result, the jacket looks terrible. I drove all the way to the North Face store and tried on the same model jacket just to be sure that I just didn't get a defective one from my online purchase. The jacket at the store had the same problem. The store manager assisted me, observed the problem I was talking about, and agreed with me that there is a substantial design flaw in this new model. I returned the jacket for a refund, and bought a competitor jacket that fits correctly. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with North Face.

I kept my old version of this jacket for 15 years. Finally replaced it with a new one and I absolutely love it. Very moisture wicking and comfortable!
