I have been using these all winter in Buffalo NY. I commute with them, snow blow and hike. So far they have exceeded my expectations. I did add an orthotic under the merrel sole but that's it.

I have started using this shoe as my go to farm shoe in the fall, winter , spring. Dew, mud, manure have a way of ruining any shoe but with very little care these shoes seem to come through easily. What really gets me is the comfort of a warm shoe that supports my feet in such a way that makes me just want to wear them over any other shoe. I can hose them off and easily slip them off when I come into our mud room. They might even be suitable for hiking if I get the time for that sort of thing.
As noted in other reviews, boots are tight to get on, but seems to be loosening up a bit with wear.
Love! I have low tops too.
I have the low version too. I just bought this one. I read they were hard to get in. After pulling my foot in and out a few times it loosened a lot. Keeping these for sure. Only concern is the zipper candidly and its durability.
The size and fit were fine. Overall, however, it was the most uncomfortable boot I've worn in a long time. I took my time walking around the house, etc. and yet they never felt good. I actually could anticipate where I would get blisters if I kept them.
Too tight
was barely able to get them on, once on they crushed my little toe
Felt at least 2 sizes smaller than the only shoe/boot size I have ever worn.
I'm very happy with these boots. The size is true (10.5 for me), and they're comfortably warm. The height is good - they're a little higher than my other lace-up boots, and that helps keep my ankles warmer and snow out. The side zipper operates smoothly and stays up securely. These are the first side-entry boots I've ever had, and it took me a little time to realize that, for me, it's best to put my foot in vertically while sitting. I use an orthotic insert with all of my shoes and boots; for these I'm using my thinnest insert and that is very comfortable. No comment about style - they're the boots I use for walking the dog, and he's not picky about footwear.
