It's not been cold enough to wear it yet so I can't speak to its performance. At my request, the very helpful team at my local L.L. Bean store looked up "what temperature is it rated at." This info was not listed on their website. Maybe I should give it a 5 star rating but this is one of the points that their team can improve on. Knowing this bit of info may help save my life living in the North East!

This jacket appeals to me because it : is very light weight, provides useful warmth, has convenient pockets, provides good cover (head and body) for windy rainy condition, and gives good freedom of movement, In my case, this has been a great replacement for my old barn jacket. I like it a lot.

I've used this jacket everyday Fall/Winter/Spring in Upstate NY- great jacket, keeps me warm in the worst conditions. I've had several iterations of this jacket and will buy again. My only complaint is it's fatal flaw- the zipper will blow out after ~two years requiring a repair or return.
