Don't expect it to be that rugged. Although this jacket looks and fits great, it's certainly form over function. It is basically a lined jean jacket with lightweight canvas and some lycra thrown in. I typically run hot, and in the 50s-60s week we e been having in the Mid-Atlantic this week I was still a bit chilly when the wind was gusting, throw a hoodie in for actual insulation. Also, to my eye the green is lighter in color than the jacket pictured.
Awkward fit--neither the Large or Extra Large Tall fit my husband
While I loved everything about the jacket I had to return it due to the fact that my arthritic fingers could not button and unbutton the buttons. Other than that, I would have kept it for sure.
I bought this for my husband who has enjoyed wearing it, excellent quality & fabric. Great pockets
Stylish, cool-factor, flannel-lined which is warm, great fitting, flattering. Looks much better while wearing than the model in the photo. He looks dorky. LL Bean: do a better job of showing off your goods. This jacket rocks Im 5'9" - 210lbs - and the XL fits perfectly with an LL BEAN crewneck sweatshirt underneath. The quality is top-notch, and this jacket would sell for at least $50 more from other brands. Don't hesitate to purchase.
Just Good like the old time jeans jacket I had. Look forward to having a long long time.
The riveted hand pockets are strictly for show. Purchased jacket in November and have worn it sparingly since on warmer days (~30 times) and the fabric directly next to the hand pocket rivets has already totally torn and failed the way you'd expect a pair of daily worn decade old jeans. Quite the price tag for a jacket that has hand pockets that can't withstand the use of hands? for a single season. Only giving two stars for visibility as this jacket deserves one or less.
We bought this jacket for our son, and he wears it often. It's warm, well-made, and the classic lines look good with any shirt and trousers. We may buy more in the future for the up and coming young men in our family.
Great lightweight jacket. Really like the outer layer, rugged feel. Jacket is constructed very well.
This jacket is very high-quality, fits really well and is exactly what you expect from L.L. Bean
