Expedition Long Down Parka

Was looking for a coat to walk in regardless of temperature. Bought the True Red in XS. I'm 5'2" 120 lbs. Normally wear a S, sized down to XS because REI site said it ran big. Fits perfectly with ample room for walking. Hits mid-calf which is perfect for a long parka (most go to the ground on me: MK and CG). Offset baffle box construction makes this coat exceptionally warm and very light in comparison to above. I don't like to layer so I walk in just leggings and a long sleeve shirt and so far toasty at 25 degrees. Two large pockets outside and two large inside designed for easy access. Originally bought a Jocarda Moose Knuckles but returned it (too heavy, long, and not as warm). Apt name for the coat "expedition".

Fit well in my normal size. Lightweight and extrememly warm. I really wanted to love this, but the zipper hit mid thigh on me and whenever I sat down it would pop open. I didn't want to pay $600 for a zipper that would just get stretched out, so I returned.

The outer shell is made from the same material as the interior lining, which makes the jacket feel very flat and lacking in insulation. Theres insufficient down fill inside, which is disappointing given the price. The overall quality feels cheap, with the clips being made from a flimsy, cardboard-like material. Based on its performance, I would say it's only suitable for temperatures as low as -5C at most, not -10C as advertised. At this price point, it's not worth more than $200-$300. Fjllrven needs a reality checkthis price would be more reasonable for a true premium product, but unfortunately, it falls short. The outer shell feels extremely thin and flimsy, to the point where it seems prone to tearing with minimal wear and tear. For the cost, I expected far better quality and durability. I returned it.

SO glad I invested in this. I do a volenteer work in windy cold Boston and when winter rolls around, you can’t mess around with fake polyester filled coats. This is warm as possible and you can’t feel the cold at all

Would Like Brighter Lighter Colors Please: I love this coat and wear it all winter on cold days and also inside to score ice hockey games in the cold. The hood and pockets are great and it is warm, durable and attractive. I am 5'8" , slim with long arms and the Medium fits great. I have the navy. What I have been dying to have is this coat in one of the lighter blue colors?? Please make this coat in some brighter, fun colors. I saw that the new color so far is a brown black and I was bummed. Brighter colors and maybe someday even a color block style?

After reading so many positive reviews I purchased this jacket. It is absolutely beautiful and I am sure warm, but I ordered down a size (per other peoples’ suggestion) and it was still huge. Boxy and uncomfortable to move around in. I did a few laps inside my house just to be sure. Outstanding quality but I got lost in it.

This is by far my favorite coat, it feels like a walking sleeping bag! Ive taken it to Iceland and Greenland in February and it was perfect! Its so nice to finally be warm.

My lifestyle jacket! The best! I'm out hiking in Minnesota with my dog nearly every day! It's my lifestyle jacket, living life in it. I'm planing to keep it forever, don't care how worn it will get. Excited to get the lighter version.
