Bought a size L (I wear a ladies 10 shoe. I could barely get them on my feet and when I went up the ankles they cut off circulation. Do not buy! And they are pathetically thin. Not sure what has happened to LLB products but many have gone way down hill. Returning for credit. Been a customer since 1973 and LLB has badly slipped .

I've bought Darn Tough socks for over 20 years now. At first I used them for travel, from Viet Nam to Iceland and they performed wonderfully whether hot or cold. I've used them for sports as well. Now I wear them all the time. The merino wool is unbeatable, the workmanship if superb, and they have lasted me for over 20 years. That's quite a bargain at less than $1.00 a year for my socks!
