The Merrell Moab 2 was my go-to hiking shoe for years. After it was discontinued and replaced by the Moab 3, I purchased two pairs but was disappointed by the shorter toe box, which made the shoes feel too small. I normally wear a men’s size 11, but when I tried an 11.5, they were too big and still didn’t feel right. Unfortunately, I’ve had the exact same issue with the Accentor 4. The Accentor 3 fit me like a glove, but the smaller toe box in the Accentor 4 makes it uncomfortable and too small. I don’t understand why Merrell feels the need to change the fit of a perfectly good shoe. This will be my last Merrell purchase, and I’ll be looking at other brands going forward.
