The listing is a bit misleading. The shoe is called Unisex and the width is listed as Medium. Medium width for a men's shoe is a D, for a women's shoe is a B. I'm a man who needs a B width, so a women's medium in New Balance fits me perfectly, which is what I ordered. The shoe arrived in a box marked Unisex showing the men's and women's sizes with the width Medium (D). The actual width of the shoe is probably closer to a C. It's definitely narrower than a typical men's shoe, but a bid wider than a typical women's shoe. With a normal sock, it kept slipping at the heel and gapping a bit; but with a heavy sock (okay for hiking) the fit seems okay. This is my first experience with a Unisex shoe and it would really help if the actual width were given, rather than a word with two meanings like "medium".
