I've had these shoes for a year or two. I rotate them based on color and my workout outfit. So I wear these when I wear black?. I require a wider toe box. I ordered the wide. They feel okay when first putting it on but my feet always hurt and my toes feel cramped by the time I need to take them off. Overall they are nowhere near as comfortable as other Asics.
Wider than the GT-2000 13 Narrow: I have very slim, low volume feet and tendonitis issues and have been wearing the GT 2000 for a number of years as my everyday walking shoe. I buy one or two new pairs every year. This 14 model has a wider foot bed and heel than the prior 13 model. Asics makes the only true narrow athletic shoe, so please do NOT start widening the narrows! My Superfeet insoles take up some extra room, but I will need thicker socks with this pair. Also, please give us narrow footed gals some color choices other than black in the future.
Comfortable: These shoes are very comfortable! I run/ walk on a daily basis and I like these shoes for both.
Two Weeks to Receive Shoes: It took 2 weeks to receive the shoes after ordering. I was told it was because of the Memorial Day holiday. This is ridiculous. I will think twice before ordering from Asics again.
This style is designed for overpronation, which it says on the Asics website, but not on the Zappos website. It felt like my foot was constantly on a slope. It hurt the arch of my foot and also had edges that left marks on my ankles.
I love the fit of this shoe. It’s a shame it is designed for overpronation which wasn’t listed in the Zappos description. My foot leaned to the side too much.
I ordered a narrow and they feel like a med. Not much of an arch support. The biggest issue I have is they squeak!
It was too narrow overall for shoe advertised as wide. The model from a yr ago was better.
toe area not right: I love GT-2000's and started with them back at the 9. The 14 does feel different and not like previous models as others stated. For me the toe area is very snug and use to be a spacious area (did not need wide version) Even after several weeks of trying to break them in they still are tight around my pinky toe. The light green color looks great and I do like that.
Favorite shoe! I am new to this brand. I absolutely love this shoe. The black goes with everything with a bit of color. Comfortable and sensible.
