The ultimate high-mileage walking shoe (even if it's built for running!) I have bought and tested dozens of different shoes from various manufacturers over the years, all in search of the absolute best walking shoe. I put these to the ultimate test, wearing them every single day to walk over 12 miles. Even though the Glycerin 23 is technically designed as a running shoe, it is hands down the best walking shoe I have ever owned. Exceptional comfort and durability.

These sneakers are at least a full size smaller than marked. I could hardly get my feet in. They feel like in the right size they would be good so I will reorder them in larger sizes.

Size and width were fine. I have worn out a pair of Glycerin23 but sadly Brooks has changed the style a bit. Added some eleastic which rubs my ankle. Love brooks and will try to find a replacement.

I feel like I'm floating: Insanely comfortable. I'm just a basic regular walker, only about 10 miles a week. I have a sedentary job so I love to go for walks a few times a week. These are a joy, just so bouncy and plush. So happy I bought these.

Tread Wear Speed: I'll start by saying that the shoes are pretty comfortable. Just started wearing Brooks shoes and I can say I'm definitely a fan. The one downside is that the tread on the soles seems to wear out pretty fast. I bought the shoes maybe 2 months ago and they are already going bald after mainly utilizing them for just walking. I own these and the new Ghosts and with alternating shoes they really feel like they wear a little too quick. I will be trying some train running shoes next to compare. Comfort 5 stars, durability 3 stars.

Excellent: The shoes are very comfortable. I have an arthritic knee and they allow me to be on my feet for much longer than other shoes.

Perfect school shoe- pair #3: My son absolutely loves his Glycerin 23s! We originally bought them as his everyday school shoes, and they've been so comfortable and reliable that we're now on our third pair. He wears them all day at school and says they're extremely comfortable. They provide great cushioning and support, and they've held up well with all the walking and activity that comes with a school day. When your kid keeps asking for the same shoe again, you know you've found a winner. The Glycerin 23 has definitely become our go-to shoe for him. Highly recommend!
