The big toe box and width are exactly as expected and advertised. The arch support is more pronounced than I was expecting. I've run and walked in them and love them. I switch between Topo and Altra. I have a lot of Hoka shoes, but recently the outer edges of Hoka have been bothering my cuboid bone.
These are quite comfortable and grippy on dry asphalt and concrete. They feel slippery on wet pavement and pavement that has any loose aggregate like send or small gravel on the surface.
The shoe is too unstable; that is when planting the foot to make a turn it feels like the ankle can be sprained.
I am a size 15 and had major foot surgery on one foot (15 screws and fused joints) and the other foot developed a bunion. I walk +6000 steps a day through Grand Central Station in NYC & tons of stairs getting to & from work. This is a great business casual sneaker and offers a wide toe bed and substantial cushion. One week wearing these and I'll def consider purchasing additional Topo products.
