Boot runs small. Need a size up or a wide option. Otherwise, a nice bot for day hiking.

Lightweight hiker with no break in: I purchased these to wear primarily for off trail hikes carrying a modest amount of weight. Over the course of a three day hunt in Arkansas' September heat, they did really well for me. They are lightweight and required no break in period. There is a modest amount of support. It's definitely not the most structural boot I've worn but I have also grown more interested in the natural movement of my foot and ankle rather than having everything locked down tight. I did a lot of scrambling over large boulders while carrying around 20 lbs. of gear and they provided me a secure grip in places I might have expected a firmer sole to slide a bit. I am really impressed with these boots!
