Breville the Fresh & Furious® Blender

I make smoothies everyday and when my 5+ year old Oster blender base cracked I figured I'd splurge on a replacement. I've had the Fast & Furious for about a week and I hate it. The blades spin for a fraction of a second and then stop (I think? That's what it looks and sounds like). It doesn't matter what's in the blender (unless it's already a liquid, then it seems to do ok). It doesn't matter what mode I select. The blender simply doesn't blend. The routine I've had to resort to is: use the liquify setting for a second, then turn off the blender and stir everything around, then use the liquify setting again for another second, then turn it off and stir everything again, over and over until the contents are finally soft enough that the blades will spin enough to finally chew everything down. This routine only works with the liquify setting, which is the highest setting. It doesn't work with any other setting, including the smoothie settings, because I guess the motor just doesn't run fast enough on those settings? I've tried reporting this to Breville but their chat doesn't work and a phone call will have you sitting on hold indefinitely.

I've had a Breville blender for many years. When mine wore out, I purchased another one since I was so please with it. My purchase was 8/20/2025. By the end of March 2026, the blades were no longer working. All I really make is smoothies. I called Breville and they sent another jug to me since the motor was fine. Well, now it's September and the same thing has happened. I called Breville and was told by Mami that since they already replaced one jug, I would have to purchase another jug. She said the jug was considered an accessory. Yes, an accessory. I told Mami that when I purchased the blender, the jug was not an accessory but a part of the machine. I told her an accessory is like a piece of jewelry, a necklace, earrings, a belt, etc. Nope. The jug is an accessory. Breville has a big flaw in their jugs and is not willing to work with me considering it is their fault. All I make is smoothies. Huh. Must be too much for this blender. DON'T BUY!!! I also rated this a 1 and it's saying I'm rating it a 3. Go figure

Powerful and fast. Looks great as well. Easy clean up. Handles everything.

I received an incorrect item mid July, returned it. mid August I am still waiting for my original purchase. I gave sent several emails not heard from anyone.🤨

At this price point, I would expect much better performance. It looks very nice, but I don’t know if the functions are up to snuff.

I am disappointed with the long-term durability of this Sage blender. The main weakness appears to be the blade bearing seal in the jug. Over time, liquids and food residue can get past the seal and into the bearing and shaft area, which then causes corrosion and eventually limits the lifespan of the jug. The most frustrating part is that Sage does not appear to sell the blade assembly as a separate replacement part. Instead, customers are effectively forced to buy a complete replacement jug, which costs around half the price of a new blender. In my opinion, this is poor value and not very sustainable. For a premium-brand blender, I expected better design and better repair options. If the jug/blade bearing fails so easily and cannot be repaired economically, then buying a much cheaper blender from a competitor may actually make more sense, as the lifespan could be similar or possibly even longer. Overall, the blender performs well when new, but the poor blade bearing seal and expensive replacement jug make it difficult to recommend.

Easy purchase process through web site to replace the exact same blender purchased in 2008. Hope the new one gives the same longevity

I'm going to return this blender. Air pockets are a big issue that prevent actual blender functioning. The lid is so hard to pry open that often by the time it dislodges, the contents of the container splatter all over. Finally, the spout is way too wide - when pouring my smoothie into a cup, it all just spills to both sides. Why isn't the spout more tapered?? This blender is beautiful but not the one for me.

We have several Breville appliances and all are great.

It's a little lighter (maybe more cheaply made?), and when it's pulsing on smoothy mode it makes a loud struggle noise that the old one only started making when it was ready to replace.
