The clasp is strong,The chain is larger than the original chain, but it works fine!

I haven't had it long so I can't speak to the durability. I added it to a necklace that was a little too tight and it worked perfectly to elongate the necklace. Looks great. The clasp was easy to use. The finish looks good at this early juncture. Very useful.
