Madison Park Genevieve 7-Pc. Comforter Set, Queen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Madison Park bedding. This Genevieve 7 piece comforter set is really nice. It’s simple and very comfy. The comforter feels thick and it’s lightweight. I don’t really like the size of the decorative pillows, they are pretty small and flat. I like the sham and pillowcases too.

The top portion of the comforter along with the pillows and pillow sheets feel rough and scratchy. The underside of the comforter is relatively soft, it's also pretty lightweight so it would be good for warmer weather but definitely not enough for cold weather. This is more for a never used guest room to make your guest room look nice. But it's definitely not comfortable to use. The decorative pillows also look a bit sad as they needed a bit more stuffing to look plump.

It’s bright, and has colorful earthy tones that add depth to the bedroom while giving a crisp and simplistic, modern vibe. The feel of the fabric is a bit firm (not stiff) on the shell and extremely soft on the underside. I was expectig the accent pillows to arrive as covers, but I was impressed to see that they’re actual pre-filled pillows! It blends well with my white sheets with beige borders. It’s also breathable! Huge perk because I’m a hot sleeper. I’m happy to say that is my first Madison Park set and it won’t be my last.

The comforter is very beautiful, now I'm reaffirming for the curtains to coordinate with the comforter. I'm update later with photos.

What looked very nice online is a complete disappointment. Very thin and cheap looking. . Terrible looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks really nice. Didn’t know what some of the pieces are for (maybe they’re throw blankets?) but overall the look is good. Underside is soft and cozy, but the top is kind of a rough texture.

I have been looking for a comforter to replace the one I had which was about 7 year’s old. I wanted a navy blue one with accompanying pillows that match the comforter. I came across this one and I liked the design and the review’s were good overall. So I placed the order and it arrived a few days ago. I’m happy with the entire set. It’s lighter than my previous comforter which is okay as I live in the lower desert area of Southern California which is downright hot for half the year. I do wish it was a little longer overall; sides and length. Most of these queen sized comforter’s are 90” x 90”. I can’t imagine it would add much to the cost of the set to increase the dimensions by 2 inches all around. Other than this one minor issue I am thoroughly happy with the product and would recommend it to other’s.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this set. It definitely feels higher end for the price point. I washed it right when I received it on gentle cycle and it held up perfectly. The design is simple enough to enhance the decor without taking away from the accents in the room.
