I have had several so-called bread knives; but because of several flaws, including size--too big, too heavy etc--I was just trying once again. But, now that I've got this 7" "Classic" well-made, well-balanced and proportioned knife, I know what slicing, with ease, is all about. It is strong but light-weight, and cuts through as though the steel were charmed. I absolutely love to use it!
I needed a second serrated knife for my larger citrus and tomatoes. Currently, I use the Zwilling Pro 8" Bread Knife for my loaves but don't like to go back and forth with the same knife between bread and juicy fruit/veg. I didn't want to spend as much for this second knife so went with the HENCKELS version. It is perfect! Some minor differences in the finish and feel of the handle, but the blade is clearly high quality and functions just as well. I wash by hand.
Great size and weight. Very happy with this knife.
Excellent knives! Worth buying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the handle, the weight, and the finish. Blade is sharp and cuts really well. Highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite knife set such great quality and feel in the hand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful bread knife. So sharp it made deep cuts in my cutting board on first use. Can’t be mad about that!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife has good weight and design. Just keep in mind that the corners of the handles are squared off and not rounded like in other Henckels sets.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for the same knife we’ve had for 22 years. That knife handle cracked off at the end and the tang is exposed so this knife replaces that one
