Nice pants with odd detail

I was hoping to replace Alfred Dunner pants that after many years finally lost their elasticity. This pair looked the same online. When they arrived, I noticed 2 differences. They were thinner material, but that should work fine. The odd thing is that the waistband appears to be sewn inside-out. Now zooming in on the online photo, I see that is the way it was intended. Fortunately the matching top will cover the waistband since this detail just looks odd. Overall, I nice set for my elderly mom.
