This was gifted by NARS and the lip liner in night bird is such an amazing color and goes well with so many of my lippies that need a darker liner. It goes on so smoothly and does a fantastic job of keeping the lipstick in line.

The Night Bird shade is a beautiful medium-deep brown that adds definition and pairs well with different lip colors. This lip liner truly delivers on all its claims! Rich Brown is a gorgeous, nicely pigmented shade that complements my deeper complexion beautifully. The staying power is impressive. I'm someone who regularly touches up my lips throughout the day, but I decided to put this liner to the ultimate test by wearing it in the shower. To my surprise, it barely budged! The formula is smudge-proof, stays in place, and holds up incredibly well. I even paired it with a lip oil, which I consider the real test of a long-lasting liner, and it performed beautifully. This is NOT a paid review! It is my honest feedback including swatches of new colors! I was interested in swatching these, since they were new. Tried the shades 716 Babylon Pink, 717 Ultimate Pleasure, and 718 Animal Instinct. The shades were fine, good enough range, and natural-ish pinks...although I did not think any of them were my personal holy grail shade. The lip liners were buttery smooth, and easy to apply. Unfortunately they did not last long at all, I had some tea (so I could note if it came off on my mug - it did) and then wiped the rest off with a dry clean towel - no water, makeup remover or cleanser was needed to wipe these clean off. These liners would be good for a photo shoot, but not ideal for everyday use, or use longer than 10 minutes if you want the liner to look sharp & crisp all day long. In addition to this photo review, I also posted a video swatching these 3 shades, if you'd like to see them on my skin tone & lip tone in different lighting. I attached two photos of the swatches on me, as well - one in bright white light, and one in a golden tone light. I rated a 2 because the main thing about lip liners (in my opinion) is their staying power, since we are humans and actually use our mouths all day long.
