1: I knew that they were stretch. They don't look like stretch jeans. And the hand doesn't feel like stretch. But they absolutely are. 2: I have gained a lot of weight recently so I did buy a size up from my normal 18 instead of 16w. That was my mistake. These are huge. When I put them on they were still fitted in the waist so I thought I would go ahead and wash them and wear them. But within an hour they had loosened up so much they were hanging off my hips. 3: I'm 5'6, 230, my inseam is 32. they hit my ankle at exactly the same length as the model in the picture. If your inseam is shorter be aware of this. For the money I wish I could send them back. but I also like them enough I'm willing to pay the money to get a smaller pair. maybe even a 14w. I think if it's the right size you will love these.
