[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh how I wanted to absolutely love and adore this school neck sleeveless sweater from BCBG. The color is beautiful, the ribbed texture is super cute and flattering. However, the fabric against my skin is terrible! It’s very scratchy feeling. Not soft and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It definitely can keep your torso warm with a cardigan. The stitching is very top notch as far as how it was constructed. Perhaps if it had more of a cotton blend with some spandex the material would feel more comfortable to wear. Also, being a crop top fit is not what I thought I was getting. I thought this would fit a little lower beyond the waist line. Again it’s a gorgeous top, but it didn’t work for me. Price wise, I do think it’s slightly overpriced because of the fabric quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three stars because the style is super cute and flattering while being simple enough to wear with almost anything, but the material is terrible. The top itself looks very small when first taken out of the package, but it stretches a lot and actually fits very well except for being quite short in length. I got an extra large and it's a little on the "foxy" side, but not suffocating. The biggest downside is how see-through and thin the fabric is, it doesn't fit being a "sweater" and very obviously shows light colored bras and bottoms beneath it. Plus the material feels scratchy even after washing, but not to the point of causing itchiness, thankfully. I still like the top because of the design, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

It seemed rougher and more scratchy than I anticipated. I also know myself well enough to know that I should always make sure my body reacts the same way my fingers do. Turns out, the rest of my skin had no problems with the fabric texture, and the color is gorgeous. I paired the BCBG Scoop Neck Sweater with wide leg pants. Because the fabric is slightly heavier weight, it would probably be a phenomenal seasonable staple paired with cardigans and blazers. Very much the kind of thing you can dress up with nice pants for the office or dress down with a cute pair of jeans for going out on the weekend. In the end, my misgivings were dispelled, and I think this is going to be a great piece to have on hand for days when I want to look a bit more polished. Note to my fellow curvy girls: this one does fit slightly slimmer than the listed size. If you’re usually an XL, for example, the XL may be a touch tight compared to a more relaxed fit shirt. This is a form fitted shirt intended to be body hugging.

I did wear a skin colored bra underneath (that’s a must!) and it didn’t show through. It’s lightweight, but not flimsy. Would be great for the office or any time. The neckline is very flattering and feminine. I got size Small. I am 5’2” and 120lbs

The fit is flattering. I’m in size M/L and both sizes would work for me. I ordered M and it’s perfect. It’s a great staple piece that could be dressed up or down. Works great with jeans for elevated look.

The fabric is a stretchy cotton sweater type material that is so comfortable against my skin. It does run small, and I felt it should have been made a little longer. Overall, I love the texture, quality, and look of the tank top style. Ots professional enough for the office setting and casual enough for date night.
