Hoya 52mm R-72 Infrared Filter

A gateway to the unseen world, the Hoya R72 Infrared Filter unlocks the potential for photographers to explore the ethereal beauty of infrared photography. This high-quality filter is meticulously crafted to cater to both digital cameras and infrared-sensitive film, allowing you to delve into a spectrum of light that extends from the deep reds at approximately 750nm to wavelengths beyond 1000nm, which are invisible to the human eye. With its durable construction, the Hoya R72 appears nearly opaque due to its precision-engineered coating that selectively transmits light from the extreme red edge of the visible spectrum along with infrared light. This characteristic makes it an effective tool for capturing the surreal contrasts and altered realities that infrared photography offers. Subjects illuminated by infrared light reveal unique textures and contrasts that conventional light does not expose, presenting photographers with a canvas for stunning and creative imagery.
