Samsung 27-in QHD, IPS, 180Hz, 1ms, G-Sync

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (Model: LS57CG952NNXZA) is a massive, top-tier flagship gaming display that essentially functions as two 32-inch 4K monitors joined side-by-side without a bezel. Here is a comprehensive breakdown of its key features, specifications, and performance details: Key Specifications Summary Model: Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (LS57CG952NNXZA / G95C series) Screen Size & Shape: 57-inch Super Ultra-Wide (32:9 Aspect Ratio) with a sharp 1000R curve Resolution: Dual UHD / DUHD (7680 \times 2160) Refresh Rate & Speed: 240Hz refresh rate with a 1ms (GtG) response time Display Technology: VA Panel with Quantum Mini-LED Backlighting (2,392 local dimming zones) HDR & Brightness: VESA DisplayHDR 1000, peak brightness up to ~1,000–1,300 nits Variable Refresh Rate: AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-Sync compatible Ports: 1x DisplayPort 2.1, 3x HDMI 2.1, 2x USB 3.0 downstream, 2x USB upstream (with built-in KVM switch), 3.5mm headphone jack Detailed Review Breakdown 1. Size & Desk Presence At 52.3 inches wide and weighing over 41 lbs with its stand, this monitor takes up nearly an entire standard desk. The deep 1000R curvature matches the human eye's natural field of vision, wrapping peripheral view directly around you to create an extraordinarily immersive experience for flight simulators, racing games, or expansive open-world titles. 2. Clarity & Resolution With Dual UHD (7680 \times 2160) resolution, it offers pixel clarity identical to a high-end 32-inch 4K screen—just twice as wide. Text is razor-sharp for productivity work, and fine details in games are rendered crisp without visible pixelation. 3. Picture Quality & Mini-LED Lighting Unlike traditional LED screens, this panel utilizes Quantum Mini-LEDs across 2,392 dimming zones. Contrast & Blacks: Local dimming allows dark parts of the image to stay rich and deep without washing out adjacent bright highlights. HDR Performance: Hits over 1,000 nits of peak brightness, offering dramatic HDR highlights for explosions, sunlight, and vivid reflections. Color Coverage: Quantum Dot technology delivers around 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, producing vibrant, accurate colors right out of the box. 4. Speed & Motion Performance A 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time deliver silky-smooth motion and virtually eliminate motion blur or ghosting. Important Hardware Note: Driving 7680 \times 2160 pixels at 240Hz requires massive graphics bandwidth. To achieve full resolution and 240Hz simultaneously, your graphics card must feature DisplayPort 2.1. GPUs limited to DisplayPort 1.4 will cap performance at 120Hz at maximum resolution. 5. Work & Productivity Features The screen real estate easily replaces dual multi-monitor setups. With built-in Picture-by-Picture (PbP) and an integrated KVM switch, you can plug in two separate computers (like a work laptop and a gaming desktop) and control both on one screen using a single mouse and keyboard. Verdict Pros: Unmatched screen space, brilliant HDR brightness, ultra-fast 240Hz speed, high contrast Mini-LED backlighting, and built-in KVM productivity features. Cons: Extremely heavy and demanding on desk space, very power-hungry, and requires a top-tier modern graphics card to utilize its full potential.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this monitor for everyday gaming. The contrast is perfect with good colors, could be higher though, the response is amazing in fashion games, refresh rate also very good. I also haven't noticed any flicker as of today. In general it is a very good monitor but I would like some small changes, for example the menu and better colors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great overall monitor. Contrast is solid, with good detail in both dark and bright scenes. I haven’t noticed any distracting flicker. The high refresh rate makes everything feel smooth, while response times keep motion sharp with minimal ghosting. Colors are vibrant without looking overly saturated, making games and media look great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] HDR and refersh rate are very solid. Great product for price & problem free for me. Same case for an older 27 inch model I have. Always looks great when playing the great games. Witcher 3, BG3, cyberpunk, crimson desert, Control, Expedition 33. I watched nba finals and super bowls on it. They all looked great. Side note: I bought a random off-brand monitor as my first ever. It didn't last 6 months. I'll always buy this brand from now on, until given a reason not to.
