Cute top, but a bit small

Cute shirt, but found it just a bit too tight in petite, medium, and when I tried in PL, in store, this was way too big! Sadly, I feel like the sizing of S, M, L does not work so well. Seems manufacturers need to go back to actual sizing 8, 10, 12, 14, etc. I have ordered again, as there is not consistency in sizing either. Hope it will work, as the print will go with so many outfits!
