I do love it! It took a while to get the settings right; but now im enjoying every cup

The step in the initial setup to prime the water doesn't work. Just makes grinding noise and no water exits either spout. Not good first impression

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am torn on this one. If you can get the settings right, then the espresso is 🤌🏻. However, trying to get everything perfect is tough. I have done it exactly one time in over 20 attempts. And once I had it set, I assumed it would be perfect the next time, but it has not been, and I did not change the beans, settings, etc. SO, if you are super intense about your espresso and you know enough about setting everything up, then you might do better with this machine than me. I have another brand of espresso machine that I really like and is user friendly, so I can’t help but compare the two. This one has a guard for grinding, which is supposed to keep grounds from going everywhere, but to me, it’s just an unnecessary step. Then you have to clean the guard. And if you set it on the counter, grounds get everywhere from it, too. You set the dispense amount and it does it automatically, which seems like a nice feature, but I feel like it’s inconsistent and I end up having to remove some or add. One positive - the puck is super easy to tap out. It’s not as easy to remove the cup for espresso amount, but not a big deal. I also really like the steam wand. It sits a little low, but produces far better foam that my other machine. It also makes cold brew, which takes some time but my husband thought the taste was excellent. So, I think it’s a matter of preference. If you want a truly smooth, delicious espresso and you’re willing to go through all of the steps to get it, this is your machine. If you want an easy cold brew, this is your machine. If you want one that is a bit more dummy-proof, but the espresso may be a slight step down, you might want to try a different machine. Also, setup was pretty easy and there is an app to help you. The noise seems consistent with my other machine. Maybe slightly louder, so I think it’s pretty par for the course on that one.

The steam wand has a wide range of motion so that it’s easy to get a good angle to steam your milk. It does take some trial and error to figure out the best grind settings for your beans, but it’s so satisfying when you do. It took me a few tries until I was able to pull an espresso shot with crema, but it was so worth it. The machine looks sleek and doesn’t take up too much counter space. I’d say it’s similar in size to a stand mixer.

The DeLonghi La Specialista Arte Evo Espresso Machine is allll the bling and bells and whistles you need for your kitchen. Whether you are a cold brew lover, tea drinker, plain old coffee drinker, or an espresso aficionado, this machine is for you. This took me awhile to figure out, and honestly I was intimidated by her beauty at first. I even bought a new wax warmer to put next to her, it’s like she’s a celebration. Even the attached coffee grinder on the top is spectacular. The portafilter has substantial weight to it, and the tamper and steel pitcher deserve some accolades of their own. Extracting the espresso to your liking will take a few tries. My favorite is the frothing of the milk, and I’ve been practicing making all kinds of drinks with this beauty. It is quiet, easy to clean, and extremely durable. This machine will be a conversation at your next get together, just keep working at it and you’ll be your own personal barista in no time.

The instructions are very easy to follow, given that I’m someone who has never used this type of machine before, I was able to successfully brew my first cup of espresso / latte! There’s a bit of a learning curve I think, because I’m not too sure what’s the right amount of coffee, water, milk, etc. but nothing a quick YouTube or AI can’t help with! I’ve been enjoying making all different types of coffee with different flavors. I love that there’s a setting for cold brew, americano, espresso and all that. Overall as a coffee addict, I’m very pleased with this product and I’m excited to try new coffee styles.

My hubby has a espresso every morning. He says once you get the hang of the machine its not hard to use. This is a coffee shop quality machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent machine! Easy to use and makes barista- style espresso, coffee. And cappuccino. It comes with a variety if accessories, and is very hefty and durable. I think the size is also great for people who are newer to espresso, or don't care as much for having all the bells and whistles. I love how you can still froth milk and everything as well, this machine has everything I use and enjoy when making espresso at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a nespresso machine for about 8 years and always thought about upgrading to a proper espresso machine but had no idea where to start. I was so excited when I received this espresso machine to try out and review. It is definitely an upgrade from Nespresso, but there is a learning curve. Thankfully, this machine is easy to use and the tutorials were very easy to follow. There is a built in grinder, which is ok, could be better but gets the job done. I did have issues with grinding a lighter roast beans, it did jam the grinder and I had to use a separate grinder. Beware, the grinder does not come apart for easy cleaning. The machine comes with all accessories, a tamper, funnel, 2 baskets and the portafilter. The baskets are shaped differently than normal baskets, so other tampers (even though Delonghi compatible) does not work. There are 3 levels for temperature and 2 options for single or double shot. Grinding the coffee into the basket and tamping is easy, but needs some trial and error to get the right grind size for the beans. Selecting the temp for the roast is also explained in the manual/videos. Once tamped, the portafilter fits easily to extract the expresso. There are 4 options for espresso, Americano, cold brew and hot water. The cold brew takes the longest, while espresso takes about 30 seconds. Machine is easy to set up and clean/wipe down except for the grinder. I have been enjoying this more than the Nespresso, but there are definitely more things I need to learn for the perfect latte. The machine also has a nice space on top for extra accessories.

Right off the bat you can tell the build quality is really nice on this unit; nothing feels cheap, everything feels nice and solid. The grinder works great, I always appreciate having that in a unit. The stream wand works really well when I decide to get some milk in the mix. I tried out the cold brew feature, and it was just ok, it doesn't really compare to real cold brew but it's alright in a pinch. The units super easy to clean, and it doesn't take up too much space; it's definitely not a small unit but it it's compact for what it does. Overall a really nice machine, would recommend to an espresso lover.
