Biz & Bean Toddler Boys' Policeman Preschool Backpack and Lunch Bag, 2-Piece Set

I bought this for my son and immediately noticed a problem. One of the straps (the extra adjustment strap / chest-style strap with the plastic buckle) rode up toward his neck while he was wearing it. If another child grabbed or pulled the backpack, it could tighten around the neck. That’s a real choking / strangulation risk for a preschooler. I cut those straps off so he could keep using the bag. The backpack itself is fine once those extra straps are gone, but I would not give this to a toddler as-is. Parents: check how the straps sit on your child before they wear it to school. If a strap can slide up to the neck or get yanked tight, remove it. Trying to add pic but it won’t let me!!! I cut the straps off!
