I bought this scratcher so my cats wouldn't scratch up the rugs in my new house. They love using it. It is very sturdy, but a bit hard to put together -- you definitely need two people, so one can direct because the holes are small. I thought the sides were sisal instead of cardboard, and it does get all over the place, but the cats do love it and use it frequently.
