Charter Club Petite Open Front 100% Cashmere Cardigan with Side Slits, Macy's Exclusive

I have Charter Club cashmere sweaters and sweater sets from around 1985-90, and the cashmere they sell now is much thinner, pills like crazy, and the seams come apart! It’s CHEAP, like the price has become! I have this particular sweater in black, and have had to have the plaquet repaired twice. Cashmere I’ve purchased at Talbot’s and Land’s End, for much more, is more like my original sweaters. You really do get what you pay for!

Having bought Macys size PXL long cashmere cardigans for years, including the 2025 version, this year the 2026 version has been changed to make the sleeve length longer, and now PXL no longer fits me. The sleeves of the 2026 sweater, worn with a shirt layered under it, come all the way down to the knuckle joints in the middle of my longest fingers. Macys had a lock on my purchases of a long cashmere cardigans, and it is with great dismay that I encounter this poor fit. I note that in the photos shown online by Macys for this item the sleeves are too long for the model, and she looks like she is wearing a borrowed sweater that belongs to someone who is taller than she is. I hope that Macys will get back to making long cashmere cardigans so that they fit correctly and don’t have to be returned.

Who knew I needed another cashmere sweater since I live in a warm part of the country. But seeing the soft teal color of this beauty reeled me in. It's the lightest weight ever so even I can get 3 season wear. I'm really pleased with the fit and feel of it too.

It's beautiful, soft, and pretty, but it is not the color shown. The color is darker and not as bright.

Let’s talk about this color! It’s a perfect Fall color! Goes with Brown, Black, Blue, everything. It’s super light weight but the warmth is incredible. I already washed it in the washer and hung it to dry. Did not shrink and the material stayed just the same. I would say that I thought it was a little itchy but I am not used to this type of material so I thought it odd. But after wearing it for a few minutes, I thought it was perfect. It wasn’t itchy after all. So give this one a try I would say. For sizing: I have the Petite Medium, which was a perfect fit. I am 160lbs and 5ft tall. So, normally I would wear a large but this was a good fit with a medium.

This lovely cashmere cardigan is going to be a wardrobe staple for many seasons. It is lightweight, but warm, so it will be useful from air-conditioned rooms to layered over a sweater for colder weather. The pearl taupe heather color is a great neutral that will complement many outfits. I like it so much that I am going back to the site to buy more colors. It does run a bit large, but I find the PXS a casual fit for my usual size 2-4. I always check Macy's during cashmere season and I'm never disappointed.

I ordered the crantini color in medium petite. It’s a beautiful color and an elegant piece. I look forward to wearing it through the fall and winter. The cardigan is a perfect length for those of us 5’3” and under—long enough to give the impression of a taller woman. It seems true to size. And it’s so soft and cozy.

It is the perfect weight and color for the fall season and for layering in colder weather. The length for petite sizes works well for my 5'2" frame and runs true to size. The material felt as soft and cozy as a blanket against my skin. Charter Club never disappoints in quality.

I have been buying Charter Club Cashmere for many years and this one doesn't disappoint! The hand and feel of this sweater is beautiful. It is soft and warm and will be a welcome addition to my wardrobe starting in the fall. I Love the length being duster that covers my waist and hip. I wear and ordered the XLand it fit as expected. I am 5ft 4 and the petite length was appropriate for me. The Camel color is a great neutral and will work well with Jeans and browns which are on trend this year.
