Great - one of the best Lego cars
This is an amazing model of an iconic car. The build is somewhat difficult and I really had to work at some of the steps to get them right. What was unique about this model was that the entire front of the car hinges forward like a real jaguar XKE to expose the engine in the front suspension and the convertible top is constructed of a complex frame structure of Lego parts and a black material so that you can actually fold the top down like a real Convertible top and put it back up. This is something I've never seen on any other model I've built of a convertible. An absolutely gorgeous product when fully built

E-Type
A lovely build. Incredible how such a curvaceous car can be replicated in LEGO.

Lego made a lemon
Let me start by saying the model looks amazing. The deep green is a nice color. But oh my, getting there has been the most miserable Lego building experience in a rather lengthy building career. This build is ZERO fun, and all the little pieces hiding in the 'new & improved' packaging is a frustrating side quest to boot.

Too Expensive, Fragile build
I had big expectations for this set, but in the end it's disapointing, part clutch was weak and kept falling off the moment you just touched some area, part coloration on the had noticeable differences on some places of the body. Boring gray wheels and bumpers instead of coloring them with the same silver metallic pieces that the parts for the toolbox came in, this set clearly has been designed on a budget string and in the end it shows. headlights are ugly and will fall off the moment there is a small breeze.

Incredible build
Was not disappointed with this model. Excellent build. I felt very unique, all components work, doors, trunk and hood. If there is ever a dream car in my real life, this would be it.

Build it properly and stop moaning!
Finished building this yesterday - told to 'make it last' so it took 6 hours. I do not understand people who moan about the fragility of Lego sets - if you build it properly and check that peices are fully connected together before moving on, you won't have any problems. This is an amazingly designed set and uses many new techniques, so congrats to the design team. The car's curves are replicated as best as can be, given the range of bricks available to use, so stop complaining about that, too! Overall, a great set and the features are very impressive - second only to the Bond 007 Aston for incredible features.

very weak
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to start building this set but found it a bit of a let down. It is a very weak set as in part fall off with the slightest touch.

Excellent
Very satisfying model. Unlike others I only experienced one small collapse when building the front end. Go for it!
