I typically have worn 5 inch in the past, but the longer short gives more of a streetwear vibe that is really current right now in the fashion world. The longer length is also great for CrossFit/weigh training to protect your thighs from the barbell. So even though these are a tennis short, I use them for a variety of sports and everyday wear.
