No complaints other than, give me an EVF and weather sealing please. Real Time LUTS and lumix app are a Fuji killer. Now just come correct with the EVF : )

I've been exclusively a film shooter for 25 years. The introduction of LUTS convinced me that Panasonic was incorporating a truly film-like experience into digital photography, but with even more flexibility than I imagined. I was able to get beautiful results using rossandhisjpegs' Portra 800 "Look." Believe it or not, I don't use any of the video features of the S9, but the stills abilities itself is worth the cost of entry. The camera itself (and 40mm lens kit) are actually bigger than I expected. But luckily the plastic build means it's not too heavy, so I've been able to shoot with it all day on my neck without feeling burdened.
I would love this camera if it had a viewfinder. I also do not like the 18-40 kit lens, it is very stiff and uncomfortable to operate even after extension. I much prefer the 20-60mm zoom, and small prime lenses. Very pleased with the image quality.
Very happy with my recent purchase, the camera has loads of functionality
Bought this as a B-roll camera and fun-point and shoot which would be massively underselling the features this camera comes with. Photo quality has been solid in my experience so far and the small body makes me feel a lot more comfortable actually taking it out with me on a casual day, in a way I never have done in the past with my dSLRs.
Bought as a smaller camera for travelling than a DSLR, very pleased with the compactness. Looks amazing in titanium with the matching 18-40mm lens. Used that lens and the 40mm F2, amazing photos, incredible quality in low light even without a flash. Looking forward to taking this travelling.
nearly great.. thought i wouldn't need the EVF but I was wrong.. the screen in strong light just didn't cut it for me. on the bright side loved the Lumix colours and the 40mm f2 lens.
I wanted to keep this camera, sensor, ibis, af, choice of lenses, reasonable price, etc, but there are too many compromises to make. Ergonomics is poor, even with several grips I tried. I can't hold this camera in my hand for longer that few minutes, sharp edges and corners go rough on the palm, even with lightest lens 14-40. Add here lack of evf and hot shoe for flash, and that's it. I realized that with all the great specs it's going to stay mostly on the shelf.
Coming from a LUMIX LX100 to a LUMIX S9 = wow! So many things familiar and yet what advancements in photo/video capabilities. I look forward to many years of enjoyment.
Very easy to use after never using a camera before
