I had a previous gen of Eufy solar cams, which were good for a while. I started getting solar charging issues. 1 cam had sun all the time, and it eventually stopped taking a charge at all. The other was in a less sunny place, and struggled to keep a charge. The S3 Pro’s were ordered as an upgrade, and I swapped out 4 older cams for these, after researching the S3 Pro for quite some time. The best part of them are the following improvements. The solar panel is larger and more efficient, and so far these 4 cams have maintained full charge continually. I get more sun where I am than most, so not the best example for everyone. That said, compared to the older cams the difference is immediate. This upgrade alone should benefit anyone to a large degree. The next item is the color night vision. It looks like daylight and it’s very customizable. The rest of the feature set is similar to the older cams, but resolution, solar capabilities, night vision quality are notably better. Very user friendly setup, plug and play, or close. Highly recommended.

Bought this camera to replace one of my older cameras that would no longer solar charge. Picture quality is awesome and detection range is much better
I feel if hou have a bad camera, have trade in old for % off
Replaced a eufycam 2C with the S3 Pro and the difference in image quality was amazing. I was initially concerned that the built-in solar panel would not maintain the charge, but it keeps the camera fully charged with only a few hours of direct sunlight.
The S3 is a great camera with only one drawback. Because it is powered by battery and solar, it limits the amount of time that it will record a video before stopping. This makes some situations less than ideal, especially for scenarios where the camera doesn't record often, so when it does you want it to capture everything for as long as possible. Ideally, you would be able to by-pass this setting with the understanding that the battery might get depleted and you will no longer have camera coverage until it's recharged by the Sun.
Now I know exactly when my pets want to come inside.
Didn't realize i needed a whole new set up. Thought this cam would work with the home base if have. Guess I'll use it in the future.
Great quality camera can't wait to see up the rest I have.
Quite shortly after purchase my S3 Pro (along with 6 other eufy cameras and doorbell) were lost in the Palisades Fire. On the plus side I got to see embers blowing around my house and ashes swirling on the garage cam.
i thought the image was frozen from earlier in the day because the image was so bright when it was extremely dark out. very happy.
