Naturalizer Women's Frankie Strappy Dress Pumps

I have problematic feet—not just one issue, but several. I have a bunion on one foot, a pinky toe on the other that seems to get smooshed even in wide shoes, a very high arch, and a Morton’s neuroma. Finding comfortable shoes can be a real challenge. These shoes are genuinely comfortable. They have a nice, wide toe box and enough padding to be comfortable without being so squishy that it aggravates my neuroma. Naturalizer is one of the brands that consistently works well for my feet, but I’ve always had one problem with their shoes: even when I buy a wide width, they tend to slip off my heel. I don’t understand why shoe companies assume that having a wide toe box means you also have a wide heel. Those are two very different things! I needed a conservative pump-style shoe for a business meeting, so I tried every wide pump Naturalizer offered, and every one of them slipped off my heel. This shoe solved the problem with its strap and open-back design. The front looks like a traditional pump, so when I wear it with a suit, you can’t really tell that the back is open. For anyone with difficult-to-fit feet, especially if you need a wide toe box but a narrower heel, these shoes are a great solution. They’re comfortable, polished, and—most importantly for me—they actually stay on my feet. The only problem is it seems like they’ve stopped making them. Bummer because I would’ve liked to also get them in a lighter color.
