Macy's Tanzanite Stud Earrings (1-3/4 ct. t.w.) in 14k Yellow Gold (also in 14k White Gold)

The color on the stones was good; a deep blue violet. However, they were much smaller than expected. The photos on the website lead one to think that they are much bigger. Even the photos where a model is wearing them make them look bigger. Also, I did not care for the ordinary backings. They were not tight and secure. Earrings at this price point should have much more secure backings, preferably screw on backings. These were ordinary earring backs like you find on costume jewelry and they were loose. Earrings that cost hundreds of dollars Should not be able to slip off that easily. I returned these earrings.
