I watched these on my favorites for a year. They didn't go on sale, so I used star money to justify biting the bullet. They arrived quickly. I rushed home in anticipation & furiously tore the tape from the box as my heart picked up speed. I laid the box on the floor, took a breath, lifted the lid & gently opened the tissue paper. Then I stared for a few seconds. Disappointment & confusion set in. The description is accurate but they do not look the same. That's A LOT of velvet & the photos don't translate to reality quite the same. I was still hopeful. I tried one on & this is where disappointment turned to anger. I wear a 10 but 10.5 feels perfect & 11 is roomy enough for thick socks or too big. I was dismayed. I forced my foot into the 11. They were so tight they felt like a 9.5! There's no reason for sizing to be so wildly off. The shaft is fine but my foot screamed before I zipped it. Returning. Chalk this brand up to pretty but dumb which means I can't get the other pair I want.
