[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this recently and was surprised with the maneuverability and power the paddle has! Will suggest for intermediate player or even if you want to wear your game! Nice design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well balanced with a lot of power. However this is designed for a high level player with smaller sweetspot, I might need to improve my skills before I can use this.
I bought my paddle a month ago and I crushed the core already. The paddle is not durable. I really like the paddle, just wish it is more durable. My first Vesper 14mm was also core crushed within 2 months.
I was so-so on pickleball and tried many paddle brands in the past. But getting my hands on this Vesper Power was eye opening. I never had so much fun playing with this. It feels like, I like playing pickleball now because of this paddle, not the game itself. LOL. As others alluded to, it fits nicely in your grip and responds very well. It's almost pulling me to move my feet. I like the 14 and my wife likes the 17. Beginner or not, this is a great paddle and looking to get my hands on the Lite version.
I’ve had this paddle for over a month now and it’s not the hype I was expecting, BUT if you know where to place the ball with control it has amazing pop + power almost unstoppable. Lastly it is quite smaller than expected so a small sweet spot!
First of its kind design, hope to see it in the PPA.
I have played and let others play with it as well. Typically the same response. It feels great in your hands, the paddle feels good on contact, but the performance is just average.
I thought that because it is an edgeless paddle, it was going to have no pop and no satisfying noise. I was totally wrong about that, the pop is very nice and sweet spots are larger than I thought. The design of the handle into the 2 prongs feel very comfortable for double back hand swings. The power is containable but good enough to really drive through the ball.
I think the paddle is pretty powerful but it is very difficult to hit the sweet spot all the time and if you mis-hit the ball it isn't very forgiving. The power the ball has is pretty solid though. I hope for the next release of paddles they make it a little bit longer. I found myself unable to reach balls I would normally be able to reach.
Love this paddle. To me it doesn’t need weights. You do need to know how to hit the ball in the center. Also pop is real on this paddle. Had a few balls go to the moon. I would like to try the 17. Might get that next
