Cuisinart DGB-30 Grind & Brew Single Serve Coffee Maker

I’m liking have a single unit for grinding/brewing my coffee, I’ve been using it for a few weeks so time will tell. My main complaint pertains for several reasons due to the excessive amount of steam it produces. First it emits so much steam I can’t keep it under my cabinet and I had to purchase a rolling tray to move it in and out from under the cabinet. Second I have to wipe it down after every brew due to the dripping on the front and the sides. Third again from the stream, every time I open the filter area it splashes water all over from the puddling on the filter panel. Fourth after brewing and ready to push back under the cabinet there is a puddle of water that needs to be cleaned up. Unit could use some improvements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this coffee brewer and love it. No carafe or reservoir to clean daily, and I can custom brew for me or my family. Just wish the water reservoir was a bit larger. For me it lasts 3-4 days but with company not so long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our older, discontinued model worked (at this altitude - 9,200'), for three years, before going belly-up. They replaced it with an identical unit. The new unit, even after resetting it, made 10 oz., when programmed for 12 oz., so I called them, and after cutting the power cord, on a brand new unit, per their arbitrary policy, they sent an upgraded model # DGB-30, as they were now out, of the discontinued model. This "upgrade" makes 6 oz., when programmed to make 12 oz. It makes apx. 10 oz., when programmed, to make 16 oz. It also steams up the whole front, sides, and inside, of the unit. C.S. said, that the steaming issue, is "normal", but had no explanation, why neither, of the replacements worked, as they should.

Horrible design, you have to keep a vacuum ready, to unclog the grinder. Last thing I want to do at 5am. Warranty policy is to cut the cord and send the picture before they’ll send a new one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grind n brew could be better..when using already ground decaf it makes a whole lot of mess…steam all around the front of the coffee maker by the buttons. Excessive liquid coffee is still in the coffee basket when emptying it. I would love to love it, but just tolerating it for the fresh grind setting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving this machine, it makes the best cup of coffee. I love fresh ground coffee, and this does a perfect job of grinding and brewing. I’m so happy with iIt’s overall performance I especially love a hot cup of coffee.

We bought our maker about a month ago. We are extremely happy with it. It is very easy to use once you learn how it works. And we like all the features like the built-in grinder, being able to use beans or previously ground coffee. The only suggestions we would make are: make the water tank hold a little more volume and emphasize more the need to make sure the beans are in very close to the grinder entrance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my birthday. When it works, it makes a great cup of coffee. But the burr kept jamming and I had to throw away partially grindings. I belong to a coffee club, so this waste became expensive. Make note, the grinding burr is not easy to remove. Returned it sadly.

We bought ours 5 months ago to replace our very expensive grind and brew . Have to say it makes a great cup of hot coffee quickly. The grinder is definately quieter than our other machine. The only thing we miss is not having to use a filter.. that comes with the price.
