I bought this gown for dance balls, and wore it the first time this past weekend and received many compliments. The wine color was a little more purple than I expected after seeing it in the dressing room, but at least any wine spilled would blend right in. It drapes beautifully, with just enough stretch in the fit to easily allow dancing the twist, jitterbug and waltz.

I bought this dress to wear to my daughter's fall wedding and I really love it. It is extremely flattering to my curves and I absolutely love the color. It doesn't really need any sequins or embellishments because the fabric itself is so rich. I also like that it has sleeves to cover my arms. It is sexy without being inappropriate. I feel confident when I wear it.

I bought this deep burgundy velvet gown for a November wedding. I’m 5’7 and 134 and bought a size 8. It fits beautifully, drapes perfectly and looks rich and expensive. It is extremely comfortable. I can’t wait to wear it during the holidays for a special dinner out. I highly recommend this gown!

This dress seems appropriate for a nice dinner but not the formal event I'll be attending. Other things to note: Thought it fit me everywhere else, it was two inches too long. (I'm 5'5" and was wearing 3" heels.) If you have a flat stomach the ruching around the waist ADDS bulk there. The split fabric between the breasts is slippery enough that I would've needed to pin the dress closed or else I would've shown a lot of cleavage while wearing it. For reference: I'm 144 lb and ordered an 8. If the dress had worked for my event, I would've exchanged it for a 6, since the dress is stretchy and accommodating.

This dress is really beautiful, flattering and surprisingly comfortable. The only thing that would make it better is pockets.
