Quality has left the building on xtratuff boots. Been wearing them 19 years, these are the poorest quality I’ve seen

First pair in 1991!
Hands down the best. Got my first pair working fisheries in Alaska in ‘91 and been a go to ever since. Kids have gone since then and had the same experience with XTRATUF. Slip resistance is key when moving around the deck and the dock, and these deliver. Never had a lot of use for chemical resistance, but top tier in staying dry. Insulated versions are great, but my feet run hot and I tend to soak through from the inside with sweat. Wear good socks and get a size up for comfort.

Not good anymore
The quality had dramatically decreased since they stopped being made in the US. Rubber feels very thin and pliable. The bottom of the boot has a high spot too so it always feels like you’re standing on a stick. They are not worth the money anymore. Get something else that won’t tear as easily. Also they keep moderating my review and not posting it

Amazing boots
I am loving my Legacy Boots. My feet are warm, dry and comfortable working on the boat all day.

Great boots!
My husband wears his Xtratuff rubber boots most of the day. We got the taller ones this time and he is very happy with them!

Best boots of my life
Amazing quality definitely a step up from any I have ever used. Feel more confident on slippery surfaces and not worried about accidently penatrating them and causing a leak

Alaskan slippers!
I bought my first pair at the advice of an Alaskan river guide. I wore them rafting and hiking through the Yukon, British Colombia, and Alaska. Since then, they are my all around go to for anything messy or wet. Even in winter with a felt liner! I just replaced them because I contaminated the inside with poison ivy. Won't do that with the new ones. My mistake. Got them for my son's and my girlfriend. We live the forest and they have a thousand uses.

Best boot money can buy
These are the best boots. All day comfort and a real work horse of a boot. I expect a lot of use out of a pair and I continue to get that in a pair.

Very comfortable
I bought a pair of these boots for an upcoming 2027 birding trip to Alaska. I wear a size 11-12 in women's shoes, 10.5 in men's hiking boots, so I went with a men's size 11 to allow for extra room with heavy socks, and they are perfect. They are so comfortable and well-made that I bought a pair for my husband as well (there was a good sale going on). We have worn them several times and been happy with their comfort and waterproofing. I look forward to more use while birding on rainy days and in Alaska.
